Brunch at The Diner in Williamsburg is amazing. They write the menu on a piece of paper, make amazing spicy bloody marys, and serve a fantastic country breakfast (fried green tomatoes and biscuits with sausage gravy) and a solid burger. Hanging with someone new who calls Wburg home has brought a new perspective on the place to me. When I lived there (fall 06) I hated it. Now… I could see myself eventually heading back..
Diner is great. Williamsburg is great too. Even though there are far to many people who are “too cool for school.”
For an even BETTER meal… go 2 blocks away to Dressler on Sunday-Thursday for a $45 pre fix (5 course meal). Yah… I didn’t stutter… 5… fucking… courses… for 45 bucks. You’re not in Manhattan anymore Dorothy.

Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup They slither while they pass They slip away across the universe Pools of sorrow Waves of joy are drifting through my open mind Possessing and caressing me.

We cannot change anything unless we accept it.
Carl Jung
(I’m going to be posting a LOT of Jung and Jung-related things in the next couple of days, as I’m as excited as any psychology geek would be over the upcoming publication of his Big Red Book. I can’t wait to get my hands on that!)

It is a terrible thing to learn as a child that one is a being separate from all the world, that no one and no thing hurts along with one’s burned tongues and skinned knees, that one’s aches and pains are all one’s own. Even more terrible, as we grow older, to learn that no person, no matter how beloved, can ever truly understand us.

If I hold back, I’m no good. I’d rather be good sometimes, than holding back all the time.

MTV IS BULLSHIT
Yes… MTV doesn’t play good music anymore. Yes… the MTV VMA’s have gone down the toilet. But if you’re gonna go apeshit when someone you don’t like doesn’t win an award… keep in mind that a) your opinion isn’t the only one that matters … and finally b) if you’re going to freak out when someone doesn’t win… try to not to celebrate like a jackass when you do… because obviously… the “voting is skewed”. :)
