I wrote my first song 4 years ago.  I had a terrible night in NYC (before I had moved here) and those of you who are close enough to know the story, know that it was as dramatic of an evening as one can possibly be.

Two years after that night (and countless SHITTY songs later), I started a band.  After years of classical music training I somehow found myself picking up a Gibson guitar and plugging into a fender amp.  Billy was on drums… we played through a song… LOUD.  Once we were through, the feedback faded and I knew, “THAT’S what i’m supposed to do!”

So now, after meeting and losing band members,  finding my voice, losing it completely, only to find it again… i’m finally going to get my wish.  To play in front of people in a great NYC venue.

So why am i losing my mind with fear?  Well… i guess it’s a combination of a few things.  The main one being the fact that there are now no more excuses.  No more talk of, “we’re not ready,” or “i need to work on the songs more.”  Though i’m sure you can never be completely ready, the time has come to stop sticking my toe in the pool and dive in.
